Summer is the time of starvation, dehydration, and weakness. It's hard to survive the sun's rays with out the refreshing water, but even the water won't be there long. As source of food began to decrease, wolves began to take change emotionally as well as physically. Everyone soon becomes your enemies as the fight of survival begins. If you are born in the Summer, you are not expected to survive but if you do survive then you will be cherished and trained to become a leader when the time comes. Food is a challenge; logic, common sense, and craftiness are needed to survive. Does your wolf have what it takes to survive the Summer's heat wave?

“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” -John Ruskin
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
~Robert Frost

VIII. Grasslands The great rolling plains are composed mostly of grasslands, albeit rich in fertility and prey. The winds rise high on these exceptionally flat lands, bringing many scents to the noses of the wise.
IX. Rolling Hills The rolling hills are great places to dig dens against the varying slopes. It's difficult to see across the constantly rising and falling landscape, which can be both boone and burden to those who know it well.
X. Aquene's River The large river rushes through the flat plains in a straight path, and then weaves through and around the hills. It strengthens, giving all their fresh share of clean water.
XI. Ileai's Lake The large lake, expanding from the river that flows through Aquene's territory, is the center of life in the forest. It sits like a deep saphire in the crown that is the forests's ecosystem.
XII. Forest A great forest stretches through Kouhai, extending around in a great crescent shape. It has thousands of trees, many smaller deciduous trees with several towering conifers overtop.
XIII. Meadows Dozens of clearings are spread across the forest, ranging in size from a pocket of grass a few feet long to giant areas dozens of yards square. Unmapped, they can be easily used as places of private worship or mourning, even.
XIV. Passage The pass that leads into Kouhai is a path that seems cut straight into the stone, with ledges and caves on either side. From atop the wall-like mountains, you can see outside of Kouhai and inside of it, but the pass itself is oftentimes filled with an eerie fog or mist. It often blocks scents and sights more then a few yards.
XV. Peak The highest point in the mountain range is considered the peak. Nearing the top, the trails become actual paths, cut away from the stone long ago. This is where some of the important meetings occur.
XVI. Valleys Wolves, being free-running animals, are often uncomfortable with the confining caves of the mountains. Several valleys exist on the mountain range, vast grassy spaces filled with life but with stone walls everywhere but up.
XVII. Thickets The combination of brambles and scruffy grasslands patched over the loner lands are referred to as the Thicket, and are often thorn-filled but nonetheless one of the only nutritional spots of vegation in the loner lands.
XVIII. Woodlands This small stand of trees cannot really be called a woods of any kind, but nonetheless can be a place of refuge in a dangerous world without a pack.
XIX. Loner's River The river is hardly more then a stream, easily crossable but swift and cold nonetheless. It is really just a split off from the Plains' river. Some grasses grow on its bank, and it holds a promise for water, if not life.
Marsh This end of the river slowly turns the ground soggy. The area had once suffered a fire, and the trees here are mostly dead. Life is just returning to this area, but in the most ungainly way possible.
