Strange Awakening Time: MiddayWeather: It is a warm spring day, the sun shines high in the shy. Fairly sunny.Location: The rolling, grassy hills of Aquene terrirory, on a valley-like area but barely. The creature's eyes opened slowly. In his mind, a noise came floating through like white noise, "Peter. Peter. Peter Anye", and he heard it like he had never in his life heard anything. Like he never had ears, or thoughts. A sigh rippled through his mouth, tasting of rot, and He opened his mouth to lick the unpleasant taste away. But his mouth felt strange and unfamilliar.
Before him was an expanse of rolling hills spotted with flowers. And something was lingering in his brain, a sense of fear as though a terrible thing had just happened. But there was no memory. It didn't occur to the lad to move untill it dawned on him that he was laying on the ground, that he had a body that was resting quite uncomfortably in a heap, and so the struggle began. Looking from a distance you would have thought that the animal was injured the way it struggled. Its legs were clumsy like they hadn't been used in a few years, which was exactly the case. His tendons groaned and creaked as though the body was complaining about the work it had to do. Something about it didn't feel right, and when he finnally managed to stand up, he took three uncoordinated steps before falling back down. It took seven minutes for him to learn how to walk again.

Xanthia snapped at the butterfly that retreated before her. It wings beating franticly, struggling to stay one step awhead of the crazed wolf. Xanthia giggled, as she jumped and charged at the butterfly. Just when she thought she had it the butterfly we pushed away by a wind, and carried above her head. Xanthia pouted at the speck in the sky for a second before getting side-tracked once again. Before her was a particularly tall hill. She grinned at it, and run up it's side. She looked down the slope, and through herself at the sea of green. Landing on her shoulder, she tumbled down, laughing all the way. She reached the bottom, and lay there awhile, waiting for the world to stop spinning. She rolled over onto her stomach, and was able to see a male wolf not far off, seemingly struggle to walk. Xan couldnt help but to notice that he was pretty. She grinned, and launched herself at him, but she had gotten up to fast, and the blood rushed to her head. Spots of black appeared in her eyes, and she was unable to see where she was going, Next thing she knew, she was tumbling over the pretty wolf, with a loud 'oof.' She got up, still dizzy. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" she cried. "I got up to fast and the bliid rushed to my head!"

By now he was hobbling along, occasionally tripiing himself. The extra two legs were confusing the poor lad, who by the way had no idea of what was going on. When a sudden force knocked him back down, ihe was only dissapointed that he would have to get back up again. But what had that force been?
The silly female voice rose up to him nd surprised him. It was different from the soft air sounds of the hills. Instinctively, his mouth muscles moved and he spoke with a steady, gentle voice. "Blood?" He couldn't help it, it was automatic. Blood in her head. Oh, another being.. Being.. oh wow what kind of thing was talking to him? What was he? He thought this with amazement that he hadn't questioned it before. His tendons groaned lowly as he turned his head . Fear shot through him immeadiately.
His body struggled to get out from under the wolf that had landed over him. He jerked like a three legged dog trying to get up, his breathing quickening. Peter Anye!! "Wolf! Wolf wolf wolf. A...aha." Xanthia 's body was pushed up off of him and he started to trot away until he tripped himself again, his jaw clacking together as it hit the ground.

Xanthia giggled, swishing her tail merrily. "What an akward creature you are!" She said with glee. "Of course I am a wolf, and so are you, silly little goose." She trotted over to him, and stood above him. "Hm. Hiya! Im Xanthia. I havent seen you around...you arent in the pack, so do you want to be?? Is that why you are here?! You want to join the pack? Thats great! Yay!" She smiled pleasently, he pearly white showing. She looked evil.....unintnetionaly of course.

As the yellowish wolf came towards him, he expected some sort of attack. There he was, after all, lying on the ground as she came to stand over him. She must be playing with me? he thought questioningly, as he panted against the grass. His eyeless holes stared agape at her pointed teeth, confused as hell. What? "I'm a wolf?" he asked, bewildered. He did understand every word she was saying...
Nonetheless, his instinct still told him to get away, and he lifted himself from the ground in a clumsy shuffle, then slowly backed away. He looked over her cautiously, then thought to take a look at himself. All he could see were two white furry paws. "You sure?"

Xanthia gave Anye a blank stare. "Of course Im sure, I think I would know what a wolf looks like." She walked around in back of him. "Here, look." And she bit his tail. "See? You even have a tail." She giggled. "How come you don't know you're a wolf, your not like a pup or anything!"

He grew nervous when she went around him and out of his sight, and jumped a litttle when he felt her teeth. Slowly and carefully he turned to face her. Note.
Comeon now, he told himself, She doesn't mean any harm. She would have dne something by now. Calm yourself. Sucking in a deep breath, the supposed wolf sighed. "I don't know. Wolves frighten me a bit," he said very honestly. But he didn't want the female to go away. He loked down again, seeing paws, thinking that she must be right. "I'm sorry. Is there water? So I can see?" He looked at her thinking that she must know her way around because she'd mentioned the pack. Right now he was trying to detour the '"conversation" away from that. He didn't feel like a wolf, and the other wolves might see him as something else too. Maybe.

"Wolves scare you?" She repeated. 'He must have had some traumatic experience in pack or something..' She thought reasonably. "Well, there is a river around here. I can lead you there." She found it very were, and confusing, that he didn't know he was a wolf. 'Maybe he lost his memory?" She thought to herself. She thought about asking him, but that would be pointless. He wouldn't remember losing his memory. "What is your name? I already told you mine, I'm Xanthia, if you dont remember" She offered a sweet smile.

He was embarassed. He was apparently a wolf afraid of wolves. A small blush appeared on his face.
"Would you please, Xanthia?" he said politely to her about being led to the water. He was already begining to feel better around her. Yes, he had forgotten her name already, manly because she had scared him half to death while she was telling him. "My name.." Oh gosh. Did he want to tell her he didn't know his name either? Not at all. This situation was already embarassing enough. "My name iisss.. Anye." He said, hereby naming himself that strange word he had heard in his mind. He smile at her and concentrated on not tripping again.

Xanthia returned his smile. "What a pretty name!! Anye!" She said, testing out his name. "Come along this way." She said, bouncing over the large hill, she had rolled down. "There is a lake near here! I was just there," She led him over the hill, and a couple of more, until they finally reach the clear body of water. She walked to the edge, and peered into it's cool depths. She confirmed that you could in fact see you appearance in it. "Here it is!" She said in a triumphant voice.

Anye followed after Xanthia, barely looking around at his surroundings. He didn't want to fall again. He saw the water nearing, and thought of falling into it. That wouldn't do. So when Xanthia led him to the edge, he stood cautiously on the ground and bent his neck to look in.
Awhite wolf peered back at him. Anye, whose only idea of his appearance was by the way his paws looked, was surprised. He stared at himself in fascination. But something seemed wrong. "Xan," he said, not realizing he had nicknamed her, "Why don't I have eyes?" He looked up at her own eyes and then back down at his own face, cocking his head to the side. Anye leaned closer. No eyes appeared, only shadowed pits. By now he was starting to think she was the key to figuring out this new life of his.

Xanthia hadn't realized it before, but he really didnt have eyes. She thought that his eyes were really dark before, there had been no reason to stare into them. "Oh, my." She said, finally the smile slipped from her face, and a worried expression replaced it. "Well, some of us are different. Like I can seperate my soul from my body and tarves the land that way. So maybe you have some special ability to?" She puased and looked down at her paws. "DO you know where you are, or how you got here? Do you remeber last night, or the day before?" She asked. She had a feeling that she knew the answer to the questions, but she wouldnt to hear it from him anyway. She was not creeped out by this wolf, she was worried for him.

"Who is your friend, Xanthia" a calming voice says from a distance, entering from the direction of the dens. He soon slows his pace to a stop and stares at the eyeless creature. He stood tall, his tail midway, helping him keep his balance as he stood still. He was a nice, gentle looking wolf, his eyes shining as the sun slowly shadows them. He stared at this new wolf, as he missed the whole conversation. He knew something was wrong with him just by the looks, but for some reason he just didn't notice that he had no eyes. Quickly after stopping, Nevar began to feel Anye's emotions. His emotion began to change, as he felt Xanthia was more worried for the young lad. And he wondered why, why would Xanthia feel worried? She was a bubbley creature. Then he thought to himself 'i wonder if this wolf needs help.' but he stood still until Xanthia answered his question. (haha i stole your word talen )

Yesterday never existed to Anye. When he tried to think back all that came o him wasl lying on the ground, unaware of himself.
"Uhm.." that was as far as Anye got when the other wolf stole his attention. He stared for a second, feeling nervous again in the presence of a wild ani,ml, which made no sense now that he knew he was also a wolf. But that fact didn't change what he automtically felt. "I am Anye, sir." he said. I was always better to introduce yourself than to have someone else do it for you. Someone had taught him that. But who?

Xanthia nearly jumped out of her skin. "Oh! Leader, I didn't see you there!" She looked over at Anye as he introduced himself. "He wasn't causing any harm. He looked a little disoriented so I was helping him." Xanthia was worried that Nevar would act unkindly toward him for being on his land. She had not known Nevar for long and she was not certain what kind of leader he was. She turned to Anye. "No fear, this is the pack alpha, Nevar. I'm sure he will be nice to you." She told him in an undertone, but not quietly enough that Nevar couldn't hear. It would be very rude to whisper in front of the alpha.
