"Ah, Rogues." Lythium thought to herself. She was once a Rogue, before the humans snatched her, she was a rogue before she met Carger. Look at her now, here she was setting between two wolves again, this feeling and this sight was something she thought she would never feel or see ever again. However there was far too much to learn about these two and there was far too much to learn about her for them as well. She was silent but her mind was running a marathon, each thought a hurdle. She looked to them both then stared at the ground.

Carger shook his head. "Not that I've seen. In fact, in dividing the territories, I claimed the lake as part of my territory because I think it's the only source of water in the forest." He smiled, looking at Mawla as she carefully seemed to evaluate the lake. He closed his eyes, thinking of everything he'd ever heard of in a pack. He'd need more members for...well, basically to do anything other then live. But it would grow. The more members they got, the more time they'd have, and the more they could do. Now...now, they weren't as much as a pack, united and numerous, then a few rogues banded together.
He stalked towards the lake, dipping his muzzle below the surface to drink. His eyes remained open, dartin over to either side as he watched his packmates. After a moment he rose tall again, shaking his muzzle back and forth a few times.

Mawla's smile slowly faded away and she sighed. "That's too bad. At least we have this lake, though. It's very big." She turned her head up to the sky. 'Maybe soon I'll give us water. Soon I'll be able to give us all the water we'll ever need, maybe. I don't know if I'll ever be able to make it rain...' she thought, watching as the clouds were clearing up. Every time it rained her feet hurt for about a day afterward; they were beginning the cycle now. It would probably be raining for the next few days as well.
Her head slowly fell back down and her blank stare turned almost frustrated, then back to normal. Her stomach silently growled, but she totally ignored it. Tonight she would need to start studying these skies and focusing her powers like her mother told her she needed to do. She'd need to keep track of the rain's schedule, too. Sometimes, her mother had told her, you can tell when a drout would be coming. Sometimes. If you were good enough.

"Mawla." Lythium spoke her name as she walked closer towards her, "You're a great wolf, you have powers beyond measure, its a pleasure to serve with a wolf like you."
For the first time Lythium spoke to another female wolf, she was always weary of speaking to other females besides her own mother, but in Mawla, Lythium saw a friend, she like Mawla had a power that would help this pack flourish, aid in illness and help the overall well being of the pack, but none of them had seen her power in action. Was she afraid of showing it? No. That certainly was not the case, it was more like a fear of what would happen, "They would see vines come from the ground, hike tail and run." she thought to herself.
"When do you think it will rain again?" she questioned, she was antsy with need, she always became excited when it began to rain, for some weird reason... and only she knew why.
Lythium's green eyes faded with rising sun, she could help this pack, and she would fight for the Ileai if it killed her which she surely doubted it would.

Carger straightened up, turning his eyes to the sun. He usually wasn't fond of the sunrise any more then any other part of the day, but today felt different. The sun rose, and with it, he was no longer just himself. He was...him. But at the same time, he was not just Carger, he was Carger, leader of Ileai. He would remember this day. The day would go down in history, maybe not for generations, but this day would be known as the start of a pack. Maybe it wouldn't be legendary or vast, at least not for a long time, but it would be itself.
He looked at Mawla and Lythium, curious to here the answer himself. "I'm interested in knowing both of your powers," he said. "I personally come from a pack where the wolves often are born with magical influence."

Mawla turned to Lythium and her smile kept growing. Such a compliment! And she could sense her power? That was amazing. "I too, feel a great force within you. Within both of you, actually." She smiled and then looked up into the sky. "The next time it will rain..." She closed her eyes and tilted her head upward, her body as stiff as a statue, but with some type of... elegance. Her eyes creased and she lowered her head, "It'll rain again around ten tonight. Maybe later. It won't be much, just a small shower..." She turned her head to face Lythium, "But this is mother nature, it could change throughout the day."
"My powers..." She smiled to herself, "They've been passed down from generations. I don't have the strongest level of mine yet, I need to practice still. But, basically, I can purify any sort of tainted water. I can detect disease and bacteria, and this lake here is barely tainted at all. It does have a little bit of bacteria but it won't hurt anyone. There are downsides to this, however. If any type of disease is ever in the water, and I purify it, I will get the disease, or sickness, or whatever it may be. Sometimes the effects are temporary, some are permanent. So far I've never had anything permanent..." She looked at the ground, then at her paws, then back up to the wolves, thinking about telling them she could make it rain. She didn't want to disappoint them if she never could, but she figured there was no harm. "Obviously, I can tell rain cycles, and even sometimes I can predict droughts, if I'm good enough, and study the sky enough. There's also one more thing, which would be, actually making it rain. I can't do that yet. I'm still practicing and trying to get it right." She put her nose to the ground and the rain drop shape on her head glowed blue, and a little bit of water came up from the ground. "I can draw water from the ground, and the plant roots, but I don't do it unless it's an emergency. No need to kill the plants, huh?" She smiled, turning to Lythium. "Go on, you tell us. What are your powers? Then I expect to hear yours." She gave Carger a smile, and turned back to the fea.

Lythium jumped when Carger spoke. Her eyes flashed as she listened to him. "Well then, if you are interested I guess it wont hurt to show you, but be warned my power is unusual." she said to him jumping inside that he was eager to see what she had to offer. And with that she turned to face Carger.
With one swift bite she chomped down on her own left flank, causing the vessels to burst and squirt out with blood, she winced inside but concealed it well. Then with both front paws firmly planted in the ground a mystical thing began to unfold. Bright green, ivy vines appeared around Lythium's feet, encircling both of her front paws all the way up to her shoulders. Green eye glowed almost ablaze, and suddenly the ivy plant burst through the dry earth, it flowered then bright, red-orange berries hung from the magical plant. "Now watch this." she said take a bite of the berries and in a few quick seconds her self inflicted wound was healed.
"This is what I do, I have the power of plant growth, it can be of use in battle and aid in recovery. I can conjure health aids and other medicinal plants. I use this to trap prey and or enemies and others can attack without being harmed." She hesitated as she continued "However it has its side effects, I thirst, a lot. That's why I asked Mawla if she knew when it would rain. You may think the plants need water and the sun plus soil, I however am different I need water, soil and the moon." She quickly released the vines and the dissipated into the ground where hence they sprung up, and the cracks were concealed. She raced to the lake's edge, she lapped up the water in great haste. "I'm sorry." she whispered, "It's all I have from my travels." and she resumed her thirst quenching drink.

Carger closed his eyes, nodding at their words and at Lythium's demonstration. He opened his eyes again, and almost on cue a bright green-and-black flame appeared at his paws. "I can create a spiritual fire, when it's green it helps me heal, when it's purple it helps me focus, and when it's red it burns. But it covers my forepaws when I use it, so it burns my fur as well. Not as much as it would burn other wolves, but still." He closed his eyes, and it died away, revealing his perfectly intact skin. He shook his legs like they were shivering, and looked at the two of them. It would be a strange little party, the three of them as a pack. Until someone else showed up, they'd be on their own.

Mawla could help Lythium a lot. She needed water, and she could take water from the ground. She could take water from the sky. She could actually help. Not only that, but Lythium could heal Carger's burns, and Carger's fire, and Lythium's power could fight off enemies. Mawla smiled. She couldn't fight with her powers, but she could aid those who did. She'd stick to fighting the old teeth and claws way, right by their sides.
"Both of your powers... they're wonderful. All of our powers tie together, and help each other. I have a feeling this will be a successful pack. We can only hope that we will receive more members, however. If we are outnumbered there isn't much we can do. But just imagine the strength we'll have. We will have no problem surviving, even just us three." She smiled and wagged her tail, her tongue hanging out of her mouth as she panted.
Now she was just plain excited.

Lythium looked to Mawla then to Carger. "Mawla, you're right. We really only need the three of us, but more members would be great." She said as she walked back over where they stood, and she sat down.
She was finally at a place in her life, where she didn't feel all alone. She raised her head to look at the sky, and she howled a song that was soothing to the ear.
"Hopefully more will show." she said as she finished her song, she stretched and layed down in a spot of grass.

Carger smiled, closing his eyes. "More will come," he said, in a voice that was almost prophetic. They would come, he knew. They had to. They would. It was impossible that this was just coincidence. The three leaders had come to Kouhai on the same day, and on the day after they'd split into packs, two wolves came upon him an hour after sunrise? It was fate. More would come, he knew that, too. It wasn't something that was sensible, or something that he could tell with logic. He could just feel it. In his gut. "When we get more members, we'll be able to send patrols out looking for new members," he said. "But you're both right, we only need us three. It would just be easier with more, right?"

Mawla smiled with a small chuckle, "Right." She agreed, laying down and placing her head on her paws.
A breeze began to blow and she closed her eyes, smelling the land and animals within it. She sighed, a smile creeping on her face. She looked very relaxed, like the image of peace itself. She rolled over on her back and tucked her front paws against her chest, opening one eye and staring up at the moving clouds. She took in a deep breath and blew out, pretending as if she were the one moving them.
Sometimes, yes, she could be very childish. She was very playful, and loved to spar just to have some fun. She also enjoyed a classic game of tag.
"Hey, you guys," She laughed, curling her tail against her left back leg, "Look at that cloud, it looks just like a butterfly." She shut her only open eye and it looked as if she were sleeping.

Lythium huffed her breath almost in laughter, where she was from it was all about work, and surviving. She didn't have the time of day to look at the clouds back then, but today when looked up she realized how beautiful the clouds were and how much Mawla was right.
Lythium was home she thought, and this was the beginning of a great pack ship.

Carger smiled, craning his head up again. "The land is beautiful," he said. He'd only been here a few days, so he still had plenty of time until it hit him that it was his. "The other two alphas, and I, we first wanted to create one large pack. But the land was two large for one pack to keep track of, and our views were...different...in the ideas of our packs." He closed his eyes again for a moment, but this time they flipped back open almost immediately. What did that say? When you're disareeing, you should isolate yourselves? Or maybe sometimes it was best to drift apart. In this situation, he caught the gist of both feelings. "You should meet them, sometime. Once we actually have steady numbers."

Mawla looked away from the clouds and rolled onto her side, curling up into a small ball. "Yeah, that would be cool." she said, referring to meeting the other packs. She rolled onto her stomach and sat up, shaking grass and twigs from her fur. The breeze felt nice, and shook rain water off of the trees and onto the newly formed pack. The water was cold, and sent chills down her spine. In other ways, though, it refreshed her. She felt more alive then before. She hadn't been swimming in forever.
Water refreshed her. Made her feel better when she was sick. Made her feel alive, powerful, and carefree. "I think we should explore the land sometime. I mean, if you guys would want to. You never know what you can find, after all."
She grinned and winked to no one in particular, the sun hiding behind a cloud.
