Carger caught Lythium's eye, looking between the two similar-looking wolves. Lythium was either simply surprised at the likeness between the two of them, or she recognized him from somewhere else. Or, at least, those were the only two options that had come easily to his attention.
He wouldn't ask her now, though, not directly. He figured she was just surprised, though, and he looked back at Conan. "Unless any of my pack members have any reasons against you joining us," he looked at Mawla, Koer, and then hesitated on Lythium, "then I don't see why you'd be unfit to join us."

She watched the other wolf with intent, she didn't even know his name, it wasn't a love fascination or anything, it was just that she hadn't seen another black wolf ever since her brother and father had died. She watched his eyes, then she looked to Carger, "Sire, is there something you need to say?" she asked him, and then she began to think of what it was he wanted to ask her, "Another rank? no." she thought to herself, and then shook it off. She knew that Carger didn't feel that way about her. And he didn't know what she was thinking about. Sometimes when she was with him, even she became very confused.

Mawla had stayed quiet during these events, not sure exactly what to say at all. There seemed to be a lot of tension between the wolves, and she didn't do well in stressful situations. When she was directed, though, her head snapped up with awareness. "Well, my Lord, I see no reason not to give this wolf a shot." She smiled, shifting her position and standing up, curling her long tail around her back leg. She studied Conan carefully, licking her wet nose. She then offered him a smile. He seemed harmless to her. She then nodded to Lythium for assurance. If something did go wrong, they'd deal with it then, "You're welcome on my part, Conan." She sat back down, panting, her eyes alive. [/color]

Conan realxed, his pelt didnt feel intense any more then like before. He smooth his eyes to more of a gentle look. He looked at the other two wolves near Carger. He wondered what Lythium was thinking she had a look like she was lost. Well to him thats what it seemed to him, however he shrugged the thought from his mind. He nodded,"I appericate your hospitality to you and your pack." He didnt make any movements or any steps to advance. He only waited to see what Carger would do next.

Carger looked at Lythium and cast his eyes away, at Mawla. "All of your opinions are valid," he said, smiling, and then returning his gaze to Conan. "Well, then, Conan, I believe you'd be a fine addition to Ileai, should you choose it." He stretched his wings backwards for a moment, rolling his shoulders, and tilted his head to the side before returning to his usual position. He turned back to Mawla. "Mawla, would you be up to familiarizing Conan with the pack? Bring him up to date on boundaries, and such?"

"Yes, Sir," she smiled with a nod, "I'd love to." Her eyes studied over the new wolf before her. Conan. "It's nice to have another member in the pack. I'm Mawla." She offered him a smile as well and walked over to him cautiously. He was larger than she was, but it didn't surprise her at all, the majority of wolves she'd met in her life were. "We've got a lot to look at in this land, so is there anything you would like to see first?" She questioned him, looking back to Carger and Lythium. Something seemed a little tense between them.... He nodded and then treaded backwards through the path he'd burnt, touching the edges of the bushes softly with his wingtips. It would grow back - it always did - but he felt it right to give it his blessing. His silent apologies, if you will. Carger then moved a bit faster, unconcerned once more. "Join me for a walk, Lythium?" he asked, nodding his head. "And a word, if you will." He smiled, wagging his tail a couple times.

"Yes Sire." She said with her tail all a flutter. She walked closer next to him, "Is there something bothering you sir?" She asked him looking at him while they walked.

Carger nodded almost unconsciously and then blinked and shook his head. "That's not it," he said, pausing for a moment to think again. "Lythium, after two seasons our pack's structure is taking a turn for the better." "Our pack," he repeated. "I think your loyalty to this pack is deserving enough for an important rank. I would like to make you a beta of the pack." He waited for her reaction, pausing in his footsteps. "You were one of the first members of this pack, and I trust you."

"But, but, Sire. Are you sure I am worthy of such a rank? Beta? Really?" She stuttered on the thought, words escaping her mouth, eyes wide and shining in the sun. "Sire I will accept this rank and I will not let you down, I will protect this pack with my life, you have my honored word." She said as she boasted her chest out, and said with a bow. "I will keep this pack in my heart, and the forest will never wilt." she promised him with a smile, as a red rose bloomed at her front feet. She was finally where she wanted and needed to be.
