Upon Waking Time: About 10:00 in the morning.Weather: The Ground here is slightly moist, and the air is about 72o. Sunlight comes through the tree tops to warm your darkest fur.Location: Somewhere in the forests. When Koer opened his eyes, he was on the ground leaning against a tree. Shamelessly he thought of the night before. Terrors had run their course through his mind, driving him through the forest behind an illusion of gunfire.
The mostly-wolf creature straightened himself out, and stood up straight. He had no idea where he was of course, not after the panic that had brought him here. Was he even in the same forest where the awake nightmare began? He started to meander slowly through the trees. This was a pretty forest, not that it was of any signifigance. It smelled faintly mossy, unlike the oak smell of his original home. Still he didn't see anything appealing to keep him in this place. There didn't seem to be any more wolves around. And while that meant more food he would have to himself, it could also mean hunters, the nasty creatures he tried his best to avoid.

It was an unfamiliar scent. She had to do something. She couldn't not go see who it was. Hopefully, Carger wouldn't mind. Her ears weren't picking up any noise, it was still early, but d**n, her nose could smell the wolf, and almost clearly. She couldn't be too far away. She walked lightly, tried to be as silent as possible, but tried to be stealthy as well. As she walked she tried to think of what she would do when she found the wolf. She didn't want to be too aggressive, but she couldn't seem so passive either. He wasn't in the pack, after all. Not from what she could smell. She'd be nice. Not too nice, but nice. He didn't seem like a threat yet, she really had no reason to approach him snarling.
Her ears heard a little bit of stirring. She picked up her pace, and the male came in sight soon enough. Her body stiffened, her eyes grew larger, and her head was held high with her eyes studying his body. He didn't look like a normal wolf. Not that she was normal, not that the pack of Ileai was normal. He just... something about his frame, and his color. Possibly a half breed...?
"Hello," she began, taking a few steps forward, "you are now in the lands of Ileai. Please, what is your reason of being here?" She kept her tone soft and friendly, and even placed a gentle smile on her face. The second he seemed suspicious, or the second she started to doubt him, she'd howl to Carger.

She followed Mawla shortly after her leaving the conversation between the three. "Where did that silly wolf run off too this time?" she said to herself as she stalked through the heavy forest, and then like a swift paw to her face, the scent of Mawla and another. Lythium slowed her fast stalking pace into a slow lurk. Lythium saw Mawla with the new one, however the newcomer to her surprise, did not seem wolf-like. "It's a Hybrid." she muffled under her breath. She stopped behind a fallen tree that was covered in plant growth. She stayed behind the scenes, just in case things between her friend Mawla and this strange Hybrid thing.

Koer's head turned around, sensing the wolf approaching. He felt her eyes study him rudely, but he pretended not to notice. What else would he expect upon meeting a stranger? "Ileai?" He showed no sign of intimidation. "This is pack territory? I was unaware." Koer bowed slightly to show respect to the female, despite her staring eyes. He supposed any loner in a pack's territory would be looked over a little. So he gave her the benefit. as for that nice little smile, he tried his best not to look at it.
These woods were nothing special to him any way. "I guess I'll be on my way then?" he glanced around quickly, but he couldn't remember which direction he'd come from. "If you could point me in the direction, that is...or maybe your friend could." In the middle of his sentence, the slight rustling brought rippling sound waves to his ears. He couldn't hear them, but he could feel it. He looked in the direction of where the other wolf was hiding. He didn't like being spied on, yet he reminded himself that he was a stranger in their territory.

Mawla sat down calmly and shut her eyes. "You don't have to leave. Not yet. But Carger really should make that decision..." She opened her eyes and looked up at the clouds. She huffed, unsure if she should bother him or not. "I guess I'll contact him. Please, don't feel threatened, he's very nice." She howled lightly, and the second she stopped she stood up. "You don't have to hide Lythium, why don't you come out and say hello?" She smiled and turned her head around, her eyes bright with excitement. This was a new wolf after all, and a new wolf might lead to a new pack member. She gave her possibly unwanted attention back to the new wolf and sat down, barely panting. "I'm Mawla, by the way." Carger hadn't been away from his pack members for long when a howl rose through the land. It didn't sound urgent or in danger, but he slid through the undergrowth and between trees to get there All the while, he was training every tree he passed, every sign of prey, ingraining it into his memory for future reference. He hadn't bothered with a response howl, because it might've been heard by all the wrong wolves and he was only a few minute's run away from the site where he'd heard Mawla howl. By the time he got close enough to use his nose to get there, he stopped running. He was slinking low to the ground, as low as a massive wolf could get, crouching along the trees. He circled the area for but a moment until he could see the situation, Mawla, facing another wolf, with the scent of Lythium lingering about. He backed away, rose from his crouched position, and entered the sight range of Mawla carefully. "I see you have found another wanderer, Mawla," he nodded, raising both eyebrows in an expression of approval without being overly emotional. "I am Carger, leader of the Ileai pack and lord of these lands."

Lythium arose, when she scented Carger. The alpha was here, surely he would take care of things. And if things got out of control she would aid in battle if it resulted in such.
She walked closer and stopped behind her alpha, the sat to the side of him watching the wanderer. She whispered to Mawla, and she really payed no mind if the newcomer heard every word, "Mawla, be careful." An uneasy, nervousness flooded her veins but she concealed it just like when she met Carger.
"I am Lythium, a huntress of the Ileai. Nice to meet you." she said this then nothing more. She silently waited, keeping a close watch on the whole situation.

"Carger?" asked Koer, not sure of who she was talking about. But when the wolf came through and introduced himself, it became clear. It amused him slightly that they were making such a deal of this. He had just been about to leave. Why did they think he would waste his energy here by causing trouble?
Koer bowed slightly to Carger, then turned and nodded to Lythium, to whom he was actually grateful for her attitude. "My name is Koer." he said entirely out of politeness. "I came upon your territory by mistake, sir. I mean no harm to you or your pack members." He didn't quite care to explain just how he ended up here, but he would if he must. Koer's voice didn't exactly match his statement, as he usually wouldn't have bothered. The idea of joining a pack was festering around in his mind, though.

Mawla turned her eyes to Lythium and flashed her a small smile, taking two steps backward.
"I apologize, My Lord, for bothering you. I just wasn't sure if you'd like to know of this or not. He says he was on his way, but I just didn't want him to feel unwelcomed... Perhaps I handled the situation poorly." She sat, her head low, and looked at the ground. She, herself, didn't feel as if she did anything wrong, not at all. Things weren't up to her here, though, and her decisions in her old pack were rarely the right ones. Starting over, which was what she was doing, would be good for her. Maybe she could do right this time, and not mess things up. She turned around and walked to the other side of Carger, stretching and sitting down yet again. "I apologize for the hassle to you, as well," she spoke, directing the newcomer, her eyes still low.

"'Tis quite alright, Koer," he said carefully, nodding his...consent? Approval? Something like that. "Of course you will are welcome to pass through these lands, though it would be wise to warn you that there are two other packs in the area. If you were interested in looking for a pack" - the word 'home' came up to him first, but he discarded the word quickly from his mind - "you're welcome to join our pack." His eyes absently roamed while still managing to convey a stealthy, analytical nature. "I've only shortly come out of being a rogue myself. I find that pack life is much..." He hesitated, smiling at Lythium and Mawla. Definitely not simpler, not easier exactly, although... He looked at Koer. "...less stressful," he finished contentedly.

Koer's eyes focused on Carger as he spoke, imagining what it would be like trying to get along with these wolves. He went through each one and asessed. Then a word stuck out at him. Welcome. His whole life was set by that one act completely opposite of the word he'd heard. Although it wasn't said with much emotion it still got to him. "If you are willing to accept a half breed.." he said, making sure he knew what he was offering. Instead of finding out later and running him out or something.

Carger only smiled. "Do you think you are any different then I, or them?" he asked. "If you can hold your own, you are welcome here. Is it wrong to accept an elder into a pack, or a pup? Is it wrong to accept a female and not a male?" He breathed deeply, his nostrils flaring not in anger, but almost defiance. "My territory stretched from the tip of the forest to the lake's end, and throughout it I will not tolerate biased judgement spoken." His voice faltered a bit, as his 'rant' appeared over. "We are ourselves, Koer. Being ourselves is what separates us from any other. The only reason that you might not want to join is if you aren't prepared and willing to give everyone a chance." It was almost spoken as a question, and his true question was voiced a moment later. "What do you say?"

Koer's eyes flicked to Lythium and Mawla, an action easy to miss it was so hastened. He wished he could read minds, monitor intentions, or something of the like. He knew it could be done by some wolves. Because the uncertainty of life is what really got to him. One second you're being bragged about to all your owner's friends as you sit in the affectionate lap of your mother, surrounded by siblings; and the next you find yourself being chased into the woods at the end of a shotgun, swerving to aviod the bodies of your brothers and sisters. He'd been betrayed by the one wolf who would take him in. Were all creatures outside his blood family so lothesome? The alpha's eyes couldn't answer his question.
It would be time now to find out. "They call you Lord, then?" Koer's head bowed respectfully to Carger, his eyes pointed at his paws. His voice was unwavering and showed no hints of uncertainty whatsoever. When Koer made a decision his choice was final. "I ask your acceptance, my lord." He decided to rid his mind of his question regarding Mawla and Lythium. He couldn't judge his packmates on how that acted toward an dangerous-looking stranger could he? His eyes raised to the wolfbefore him as he awaited his acceptance into the pack.

Carger looked at Lythium and Mawla. "You may call me by any suitable title you wish, or simply Carger," he said. "And you are officially accepted into this pack." He nodded his head in acknowledgement, and a smile graced his jaw. "Welcome to Ileai." He straightened up, and looked at Mawla and Lythium. "We're currently in need of assigned queros at the moment, might you be up to the task?" he asked. It was more of a statement then an inquiry, and he added shortly, "Of course, since it's such a small pack as of now, we'll all need to pitch in hunting and scouting. With more members, we'll be able to reassign ranks and stick exclusively to the duties entailed, but as of now..." He let it hang, something he rarely did, but then finished it off. "We'll all need to work a bit more to get this pack up to par." Despite himself, he wondered how the other packs were doing. It wasn't his business - hell, who was he kidding, of course it was - but he was overly paranoid. The reason they separated was because they couldn't agree, and in his case at least, he didn't fully trust the other leaders. He wouldn't admit that to anyone, though, not yet. He would, in time.

Mawla nodded and smiled lightly, "Of course, my lord. I would be happy to assist you." She stood up from his side and walked past Koer "I'll start now if you'd like." She turned her head and looked at Carger and Lythium, unsure if he was meaning to tell them to start now. She was hungry, so she sure didn't have any problems with it. A sudden flashback hit her, and she could see her sister laughing at her as the rabbit got away. She didn't feel so tough anymore. This was a new time, though, and she has had many successful hunts since then. she sighed and shook her head. She needed to stop living in the past.
"If our service is not needed now, though, you'll probably be able to find me at the lake. I just have a few things to check out about the water, but that can wait. So I guess... I'm just going to stop talking." She hunger her head low. She was already starting to look like a fool, and act like one as well. 'I need to keep my mouth shut and just do as I am told,' she thought, 'or there may be consequences.'
