Where the Forest never sleeps... Time: Some time around midnightWeather: A clear, beautiful night, the stars are shinning, and the moon is full.Location: in a wide stretch of meadow, some rocks create perches. Lythium loved this time in the forest, it reminded her of her childhood and her former rein as Alphess. She closed her eyes as she reminisced the old times. "The stars are beautiful tonight aren't they brother?" she spoke to the peaceful breeze that ran through the stretch of meadow. These days her brother, Rayre was the only thing on her mind except for the pack family, protecting Carger and the others were at most importance now, but inside of her self she couldn't shake the thoughts of her brother. She smiled as her green eyes illuminated the darkness of the night, with front paws crossed she lay upon a rock that was facing the big moon. "The forest never sleeps brother, remember that." she whispered to the breeze, and howled a long mournful howl and listened as her song was carried off into the night. She loved her new home, and cared for her new found friends, Mawla her innocence and friendly, pup like persona. Koer was still new to her, but nonetheless she accepted him. Carger's voice was deep in her mind, the scene of when they first met, his voice was calming, that vision brought another smile to her face. She was content, and listened to the breeze dance over the landscape as she lay looking up at the stars and moon in the clear night sky.

Mawla's nose was against the ground and she was following the scent of Lythium. She was bored, and she just couldn't sleep. The lake didn't interest her right now, she needed to do something social. The rain drop shape on her forehead was glowing a bright blue, making her golden eyes glowing, almost see through like the water, holding a strong, golden tint. Her head rose and she smiled, her tail wagging. "Lythium!" She barked, trotting over and licking her nose. She barked playfully and crouched down onto her chest, panting.
This was what she liked, what she appreciated the most. This Lythium character. She knew this girl would be one of her good pals. She just knew it. She rolled onto her back and tilted her head, "You seem a little upset, are you alright?" She asked her politely, not wanting to stir up any nerves. Of course with her personality, Mawla probably wouldn't stop asking until she got an answer, or was chased away. That was one thing about her; she could be pretty annoying.
Mawla decided she should probably get a little more serious. She didn't like the feeling that her friend might be upset, and she didn't want to seem like she didn't care. She sat up into a sitting position, close to Lythium, their noses nearly touching, just in case she would need something, or someone to comfort her. Mawla was good to comfort her friends. "If you want to talk about it I'm all ears, you know. These big old things are good for listening, and my heart is good for secrets." She nudged her shoulder with her nose, smiling, and wagging her tail softly.

"Oh its nothing child, just setting here reminiscing about the old days. But its the past now right? Mawla, have you ever had someone close to your heart that felt like you met them in a past life?" she spoke with wonder, she began to think about her brother and how Carger was so similar, it wasn't love was it? She shook it off, that feeling would be back and she knew it. "Have you ever met some one like that Mawla?" she looked at her friend, and then to the sky, "My brother taught me about the constellations, that one he called Ursa minor, or when I was young the little bear." she said as she pointed her face to the location of the stars. "This is why I love the night, this is why I say 'the forest never sleeps'." she watched the sky as she spoke to her friend. "I'm glad your here, and I am so glad we met Mawla."

"I haven't yet, no..." She pondered on her own thoughts for nearly a minute, looking lost in her glowing golden eyes. "I guess not. Maybe I will someday, though. I'm sure I will." she smiled to Lythium and laid down, licking her lips and shutting her eyes, listening to the other wolves words. "Yes.. I'm so glad we met as well." She smiled and opened her eyes, looking up at her friend.
Friend.
She already had a friend. Sure in her last pack she had many friends, to her at least. Being the Alpha's children meant you had to pick and choose your real friends, or they could use you to get to the top. Here she didn't have to worry about that. Carger was the only one who knew about her families past, really. She meant to keep it that way. She didn't want people thinking of her any higher or lower than anyone else. She yawned and let out a happy whine, rolling onto her back.
"These lands are so..." she sighed, "lovely. I feel so safe around her. So free. It's wonderful. I think I like it here better." She laughed in her mind and jumped up suddenly. She wanted to do something. Play tag! She growled to Lythium playfully and nipped her shoulder, running away. "You're it!" She laughed, running into the foliage.
Even at this age she acted like a pup...

Lythium looked at her pup-like friend, and playfully snarled but when she did so she caught herself by surprise and stopped. Lythium was never pup-like, she had to grow up fast when she was young, because if she didn't then it would mean she had nothing coming to her in inheritance. But she quickly made herself gain back conciseness and resume playing a harmless game of tag with her friend, she wondered if there was work to be done. But began to run after Mawla, "Wait up you silly wolf." she huffed. "Now hold still!"

Mawla laughed and jumped onto a fallen tree. The tree was atop another standing one, so she could only run so far up. She barked down to Lythium, who was about ten feet below her, and grinned. "Come on up here, Lythium, look at this!" The moon was visible through a split in the trees, and it was lighting up the meadow, butterflies fluttering around.
She smiled and laid down, allowing her back paw to hang off of the tree trunk. she sat her head down atop her paws and panted, not if exhaustion, but of excitement. It had to have been the most beautiful sight she'd seen in ages. She howled up at the sky, laughing immediately after she stopped. She yawned and rolled onto her back carefully, looking at the now upside down moon.
