Wandering Spirits Time: Approximately mid-day.Weather: A bit cloudy, with the sun high in the sky on a generally cool day.Location: In the pass, almost widening up to Kouhai itself. Near one of the edges, several dozen yards from the exit of the pass.Aksha blinked slowly, her brain only just registering where she was. She was walking forward almost mechanically, eyes half-open as she walked along the pass. It was narrow, she could feel, which was kind of silly because she couldn't even see the sides. She couldn't see the top, either, or the veinning or end. After blinking a few more times, she realized that there actually was a great mass of fog in the pass, and she wasn't just seeing it. She turned several times, realizing that she didn't even know where she was going. If she kept walking, she could hit the side of the cliff or end up stuff in some godforsaken mountain pit. Normally she wouldn't have cared where she went, but bells were ringing in her head. She knew where it was coming from, too. Spiritus. Her soul, her spirit, whatever you wanted to call it. It could've overtaken her at any minute, but it had nothing to do. She sighed, giving in. She sat down, knowing the last time she'd released her Spirit standing up, her limp form had collapsed to the ground and she'd had a headache for two and a half days. Not something she wanted to relive.
The familiar sense of darkness overtook her, and her vision went black for a moment. Then it was restored, although in shades of black, white, and gray. She shot up in the air, still not used to the feeling - not of flying, but more of antigravity. She shot a dozen feet in the air, and rotated to see her physical form - a shock-still figure with glassy eyes - and her current form. She couldn't see too much of her astral form, but she knew what she looked like - a large, wolf-shaped figure of pure shadowy darkness. She still didn't completely understand it, or know what to call it. She thought of it to herself as Spiritus, an actual being, because in someway that she couldn't explain, when she was in that form it was like she was almost a different person. She could call it her spirit, she supposed.
She turned it towards the sky, and it shot upwards only because it wanted to. She only told it what to do, it chose whether or not to do it. And she went shooting straight up, leaving a trail of black that faded away after a moment - sort of like those old cartoons where the character would run so fast that his skeleton would slide out of his skin. She rose to go above the rock wall, turning to see which direction to go. What she saw was incredible. A vast open wilderness, every landscape from a desert-like plains to a rainy forest, and the mountains that encircled it all. As she called her spirit back to her, she kept the memory in mind and resumed walking. So intent was she on remembering the lands in front of her, it never occured to her that another wolf could be in the stone passage, watching her movements or even her spirit as it roamed the skies.

The feale was just standing there, Tamyran observed. She was standing on a ledge just to the side of the passage. She had thought that maybe the passage was the place to look, since all wolves here came in through this place. She had been thinking of how she was going to handle this area of her territory when she noticed the femme below. After calling out to her (the wolf not respondign), Tamyran decided to go down to check it out. This was, after all, Imperius land now.
Tamyran stepped gracefully down the slope and made her way to the passage. She came up behind the stranger, on the right of her. "Hello?" was all she said, not knowing how responsive the wolf would be. She felt a mixture of curiosity and cautiousness.

Aksha froze, whirling around. Her recently awakened spirit struggled to flee, but her fearful, wary attitude kept her muscles tightly clenched. "Hello," she said cautiously, her vision focusing around the female. Younger, by two years? Three? No less then two, at least. Maybe. She looked down at herself briefly, wondering what she would look like in another's eyes. She was a bit skinny, but that was expected of any lone wolf. Her fur wasn't too matted, her tail was arched down and slightly stiff, and she was alone in unfamiliar territory. She blinked as she edged back and forth nervously in front of this wolf. She didn't appear to be hostile, but then again her pack didn't appear to be about to kick her out after she didn't fit in. Looks could be deceiving, ay?

Another's emotions entered Reverend's senses. Rev smiled, excited that he had found someone already. He made his way slowly over, taking his time so that the wolf would have time to realize that he was approaching, so they wouldntbe frightened off. He wondered if Paxton had already found them. He probably had.
He had been right, Tamyran was already there. He came up behind tamyran, making as much noise as possible so that his leader knew of his presence. "Hello, and Welcome." Reverend spoke in his soft voice.

Tamyran watched the wolf come to life. She was nervous, as one could see by her tight muscles and voice. "There is no need to be afraid, I assure you." Tamyran knew she could look intimidating, and hoped she would put the female a little more at ease. She was interested in the state she'd caught her in before, but she wasn't going to ask about it for now.
Tamyran didn't turn to look at Reverend, but it was nice to have him there. She wasn't alone in this 'pack buisness' anymore. "Are you lost?" she asked politely, trying to prevent Paxton from invading her mind. She didn't want to be rude to this loner, no matter how curious she might be.

Her eyes flicked between the two wolves, calculating. 'Run!' she heard an instinctual mix in her mind. She clamped down hard on it, blinking heavily. "You could say that," she said dryly. "Drifting, more like."
She nodded her head vaguely. "I am Aksaha, please call me Aksha. I am a wanderer, passing through what I first took to be unclaimed land. But," she paused, her eyes focusing on Tamyran, "I believe I was mistaken."
She didn't think either of them would attack her, but both seemed like strong individuals with an attitude. From her first impression. First impressions were often mistaken, though she sometimes had a better perception of wolves then others miht think.

"Yes, you were but it's not your fault. This land was claimed only as of this afternoon." She felt Paxton leave her, not intending to invade Aksha's privacy though. He was curious about something else instead. Tamyran ignored it as she gave her attention to the loner before her. "And the passage is the only way into Kouhai, so I suppose I should allow wolves to pass through." She offered the female a small smile.
And suddenly, Paxton came back again, rushing through her mind. It was times like these she wondered just how fast he could travel. What is it? she thought, responding to the feeling he was giving off."Found someone," he stated. "I can show you." Tamyran glanced at Reverend, then back to Aksha. It really wasn't a good time to leave her, but she knew she could trust Reverend with her. Perhaps he could sense her emotions, and get her to trust him better without her there. "Reverend," she said off to the side (but not in a whisper so Aksha couldn't think they were scheming), "Can I leave you here for a while? Something's been brought to my attention. I'll meet up with you later. Or send a message." "Aren't you glad to have me?" Only sometimes. Paxton was a great conveinience but he could also be annoying or pushy for his way, with the mind of a child. "Goodbye, Aksha." She turned around and set off.

Aksha narrowed her eyes for only a moment. She hadn't detected anything different in the situation, not smell or sound or sight. When could have possibly brought anything to Tamyran's attention. She didn't think that any other wolf could've had powers like herself, and never once did it occur to her that anything supernatural was about. She furrowed her brow, infinitely confused as the alpha vanished from the site in the mist. "Wonderful," she murmured, looking at Reverend with a gloomy, almost stoic look. "And who might you be, love?"
Her attitude was obviously fake, but it was better then being obviously upset and angry. She was tired of running around, because every time she got to a pack, she made it maybe a week before her spiritus blew it and she was ran out. Again. She was sick of being an outcast. If only her powers would just...go away. But she'd been alive a long time, and she honestly doubted that it would ever happen. And she'd finally gotten to a land that seemed like paradise, and now the alpha walks off on her intro. And how was she supposed to know if he ever came back. Such an optimist, eh?

Reverend said nothing as Tamyran left. He studied the wolf openly. He sent out a tendril of his mind, and tasted the air around her, sensing her emotion. He sensed confusion, and something like bitterness. He wondered why. He smiled, and relaxed the air around her. But something nagged at him, and he couldn't exactly place it. He decided to ignor it. "Please do not hold it against my Alpha that she left, it really is her first day, and Im sure she is feeling the pressure. I am the beta, Reverend." He closed the distance between them. "It is nice to meet you, Aksha. How long have you been wondering?" He asked taking in her ruffled appearance.

Aksha felt strangely more easy, as her words seemed to slide out of her mouth easily. "Oh, I'm sure she has far more important duties to attend to," she said lightly. Slight sadness filled her mind at his question, but it seemed to die out before it reached her mind. She watched the apparent beta with her eyes, hardly noticing as he stepped closer. "On and off," she said easily, casting her eyes away a bit. "It's been near a month since I've met up with another wolf. But, a, it's been..." She hesitated, thinking. This was her...eighth spring? "Six years since I left my pack." Her eyes flicked up again, gauging his reaction with her eyes.
"So, this pack has only been running for a day? I guess you already knew the alpha, perhaps travelled together before coming here?" she asked. She scratched her head for a moment, cocking her head slightly at Reverend.

Reverend frowned. "Yes, Tamyran and I have been good friends for quite sometime." He answered absentmindedly. He was thinking of her emotions and how they had turned sad when she remembered her wonderings. "I had to leave my pack also," He said, then added "more like i was chased away."
"Listen, although we dont have any memebers would you like to join us?"

Aksha smiled slightly at his words. She felt sure that his troubles couldn't have been worse then hers. But that was silly; she wasn't the only one with problems, and her problems were past. She was a bit startled at his next statement. They must've been desperate for members if they were willing to invite a stranger into their pack moments after stepping on their soil. 'No,' a wordless whisper came from deep within her mind. It was that subconscious voice that made up her mind. "I'd love to." Her own voice shocked her still, but Aksha didn't want to take it back. If she didn't join a pack, her end was coming far quicker then she'd planned for. She'd been going on autopilot for the past couple weeks, and she knew it wasn't healthy for her. She had to start thinking again. She had to start...living. And here was an opportunity. She wasn't quite sure what to say, not even thinking about what her role would be in the pack. Naturally, they would need hunters, and she'd barely been able to catch rabbits and squirrels and hares for herself. If she was lucky, she might be able to take down a roe deer. Without being caught by whoever's land she was hunting on. She took a deep breath, wondering what she'd gotten into.

'There it is again.' He thought to himself, again something bothering him about her. He wasnt quite sure, it was somehow familiar. It wasnt her personally. It was more of her emotions. They seem to be...strange. And he couldnt quite place it. Reverend didnt say any of this, of course. He smiled, and made the air bright with exciment. "We would be gald to have you." He thought for a split second. "Though I do have something to share with you. I don't like to put my nose where it doesnt belong, but sometimes I can't help it, but it is your right to know. You may think that I'm crazy..." Reverend paused. "But I can read the emotions of those around me...and control them. I am sorry for reading your emotions." He dipped his head. He really didnt like his power, not because other emotions affected him, but he didnt like to invade other's privacy. But his other power, now that was another story, he greatly enjoyed it.

She swallowed hard, intaking breath sharply as she grew a bit more conscious. But he was the beta, after all, and she would have to trust him. "That's alright, I think it's an amazing gift," she said. She paused. If he was not to accept her for her gift, it would be another betrayal. She shivered slightly, digging a hole for herself every second. She had to tell them, of course, but if she did...but if she didn't, she was worried Reverend was feeling she would be hiding something, and then she would be run out anyway. "I can control a sort of ghostly form of myself," she said, not caring to demonstrate. The more she let it out, the more it wanted to be out, and she wasn't willing to release it just to show anyone. She'd probably end up doing just that, though.

Reverend cocked his head to the side, and thought of Paxton. He would tell her that the Alpha has something similar, but it wasnt his place to tell. He remembered how he could sense both the emotions of Paxton and Tamyran. 'Hmm, maybe that is what I am sensing.' he thought.'her..ghost.
"Does it have a mind of it's own?" He asked.
