Meeting Time: Early evening, the sun still in the sky but casting slanted shadows east.Weather: Calm and clear, with a pleasant breeze headed east. Out in the open spaces the temperature is starting to decrease but still nearing ninety degrees so the wind, shade, and water are blessings.Location: The water line of the lake has dropped a good amount, and the heat draws everything closer to it's edge.Carger had been standing at the lake's edge for a quarter hour of thought - what he would say, how they would respond, who would show up and what he would do if they didn't. He looked up at the sky, at the hinderingly bright sun. His fur was warm, particularly his face, which was facing the west as he looked over the lake.
He was standing on the original water line - in reality, there were probably extra feet of sloped, dry mud between him and the surface of the lake. He was a bit worried about the water, but summer was nearly over and he knew that he didn't get the worst of summer's brunt. Winter would be harder. the herds that traversed the forest paths would shift to the plains, and the smaller animals would probably go closer to the mountains. He would have to worry about food more then temperature.
And then spring would come, and the snow would melt, and water would be plentiful and the prey would come back. and then the cycle would continue. Apparently there would be no end to his stress. That was okay, though; he'd expected it. He would call his pack together and discuss outcomes for the oncoming seasons, and more elementary matters that he was not sure the others knew set in stone - Borders. Ranks. Respect. The pack itself - a family. He shook himself from his thoughts and looked up at the sky, gauging the time by the westward sun. Carger lifted his muzzle and released his howl, a summoning for all of Ileai that he let the wind snatch and carry over the rest of the forest.

Taking a step back into the border, the wind picked up. He stopped his pace as he took in the cool breeze, as a sound travel through his ears, a scent entering his nostrils. His wings open wide, "I guess its time to show me how useful you are." He talks to his wings. Without question, he took off in a run with the open meadows that laid infront of him, and within that space he took flight. Keeping low, keeping quiet, he flew past trees with out even leaving a dust trail. He had talent when it came to flying, but with that talent he gave his wings more pride. As he was in the air he would take notice a few things on the ground below him, like where creatures sleep, where they run, or just anything that moved. He soon caught the sent of Carger, and slowly lowered himself to the ground. With being a mile away, he landed, lowering his wings to his back as he took pace towards Carger. He wasn't sure if he was late, or if he was early. After a few minutes of running, Kohana slowed his pace as Carger enter his sight range. His scent was everywhere but there was always a scent that was stronger, and the stronger it was you knew he was there. He bowed in respect to the alpha as he got closer, "You called?" not realizing it was a meeting for everyone, I guess you can say he wasn't the smartest wolf in the pack, or at least not always.

Lythium heard Carger call and raced to the lake's edge. Kohana had already beat her there, she nodded a hello to him as she swished her tail and took a set in front of the Alpha. She smiled at him unconsciously, with her green eyes bright with excitement.

Koer's head turned toward Carger's call. He knew right away that he was gathering his pack members. Glad that he'd started to go in that direction already, he continued his route a little faster. Koer, weren't you considering dissappearing? he thought to himself. It would be easier for him and the pack if he left them before even recieving a rank. Buthe continued walking for some reason, and that must have been the answer to it. He was staying.
He found Carger. Two others were already there: the winged one he had just met and lythium. Koer didn't say hello. He just stood there and waited, knowing the alpha had things to say that shouldn't be delayed by pointless greetings.

Walking through this unknown land, the female stranger heard this call. The call sounded somewhat familiar but she couldn't quite put her paw on it. Curiosity sparked inside her, she took off toward the howl. When nearing the place from which the howl arose, the strange wolf (Faelan) slowed down to a sneak. She wanted to know what was going on without causing any alarm. One thing she forgot to realize was that she was barely in range of her scent being detected by the alpha, because that was the wolf she was nearest.

Carger watched as his pack assembled, and let a silent sigh release itself. "I hope you've all gotten acquainted," he said, looking to each of them. "Kohana, Lythium, Koer. Already that pack's been through much, and I know that it will go through so much more. But this is a mark of our test. We've endured, and we're still here." He smiled, and in the back of his mind something familiar and infamiliar rose distinctly. He shook it off decidedly and continued. "This is Ileai, folks. I've called this meeting to make sure we all know exactly what Ileai means. What it stands for, what it is." His smile faded and recharged, and he looked at all of them again.

"Is there something wrong Sire?" she graciously asked her green eyes staring into his, she could feel his uneasiness but kept it to herself, she wanted to stay calm, after all Carger expected highly of her, she was the alpha's right paw, she must keep it cool. She looked around at the others and then back to her Alpha, ears perked and awaiting to her what was on Carger's mind.

His tail swaying to side, silently for he didn't want to make a noise that over powered or annoyed the alpha. His eyes would slowly switch over to the other wolves, as he took notice that not everyone was there. He quickly notice that Mawla was not present and questioned it. He just saw her a few days ago, she didn't seem like the type to miss something important. He looked to Lythium who soon spoke to the alpha, questioning if there was something wrong. Did he miss something? He soon started to worry, as his tail stopped swaying. His mind racing "Did I miss something he said? Shoot I hope it wasn't important. Where is Mawla? Did she run away? I hope she is ok… Pay attention, you can't afford to miss anything." Kohana's thoughts kept speaking as he stared at the alpha.

The mysterious wolf (Faelan) listened to the conversation at hand. Unfamiliar thoughts and images ran through her head. The voice of this alpha sounded familiar, but who was he? why did he sound so familiar to her? Lost in thought and curiousity, the female inadvertently inched forward trying to place the voice, accidentally stepping on a small twig.

"Why Sire Carger, I believe a new comer is upon us." she smiled in a sinister way, teeth bared slightly and green eyes glowing, watching the brush ruffle with movement, and hearing the sharp crack of the limb. She stepped towards the sound, and called "Who's there? You are on lands owned by the Illeai pack, who is under of the command of Carger. State your name." she rasped, low and dark. She was ready to attack, if need be. She looked around once more, she looked at the others who were there with her, then back to the brush.

The female hesitantly stepped out of the brush. Her tail was tucked between her legs, and her ears were slightly lowered. "I didn't mean any harm. I am alittle lost. As for my name, I couldn't tell you. I . . . Don't really remember." The wolf said alittle shakey.

She stepped up to the newcomer, glanced at the female's eyes. "You are standing in the lands of the Illeai pack. We are currently in a meeting." she looked to Carger, "Sire would you like to address her?" she questioned and gave him a look for him to come over.

Upon these events occurting, Carger leapt to action. The lack of Mawla's presence concerned him as well, but he had little doubt she would arrive soon enough. He almost smiled absently; she might've been distracted by something. He tilted his head to the side, though, at this stranger who wasn't a stranger to him. "Faelan?" he said, surprised. "It's alright, Lythium, I think." He trotted forward, head raised, as he sniffed at her. "I am Carger, leader of these lands. I met you, some time ago, far away from here. Do you truly not remember?"

Faelan stood still as he approached her. "I . . I didnt mean to interrupt. I. . ." she paused as he sniffed her. "I'm sorry, I do not know what you mean. I do not remember." She cringed as random pictures raced through her head at the sound of his name. She winced as if it physically pained her. "I don't . . ." she paused, recalling the scene she witnessed when she woke up. "The only thing i know, is that I woke up half drowned, And there were massacred wolves everywhere. But I don't remember anything before that. How do you know me?" she questioned.

Koer watched intently. He had felt the stranger creeping forward, sending little sensations to the bottoms of his feet. He hadn't said anything. He liked to watch things and see what happened. While his distance from others made him feel inferior in ways, he also felt superior in others. A smile slightly pulled up one side of his mouth when he watched Lythium's reaction. He made himself stop smiling. If she caught him amused by her behavior, how she acted like the alpha's personal spokesperson.. well, that wouldn't be as fun. Besides, this wasn't a time to be smiling. This poor soul had gone through some trauma.
He watched what happened carefully. How did Carger know this female, he wondered. He thought she was pretty, but he couldn't let himself like any wolf. His blood wasn't pure. The idea was easy to push away at least, he didn't know anything about Faelan. He stayed silent as things progressed.
